A Community for
Seniors
Our Mission
To enhance the well-being and quality of life for seniors through a holistic approach that integrates recreational therapy, support groups, professional development, and access to vital resources.
We are committed to fostering a community where seniors can thrive, connect, and continue to grow.
What We Do
Facilitate Recreational Therapy based Senior Programs that provide purposeful opportunities for new friendships, enjoyment, and increased quality of life.
Host a wide variety of support groups led by Licensed Social Workers and interns for families and caregivers of seniors.
Provide a "hub" of resources from Home Health, to Legal Services, to Entertainment and more! We have connections for every need and situation.
Offer many opportunities for students and professionals, from internships and practicums to affordable Continuing Education Hours.
What Makes Us Special
Therapeutic Recreation
Foundation
Founded in Therapeutic Recreation models and techniques, we believe leisure and enjoyment are the key to living a long lasting and fulfilled life. Recreational Therapy is a holistic, purposeful process that utilizes each person's unique leisure interests to achieve a therapeutic goal. In other words, we don't play bingo just to play bingo! Each member's leisure interests are taken into account and connected with others who share common interests.

Tolga Kuru

Lauren Grattopp, CTRS
Program Director
Lauren is our Program Director and
runs the day to day programming at the Vintage Silver Center. She received her Bachelors of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Arizona State University and became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) soon after. Lauren believes Recreational Therapy puts the "fun" in "functional" and that people of all ages and stages can benefit from it. She has gained invaluable experience through working with kids to adults on the Autism Spectrum, Equine Therapy, behavioral health day programs, and mobile activities with seniors. She enjoys training her dog Penny to be a certified therapy dog (who you may see around the program), spending time with family and friends, reading good books
and riding horses.
Tolga is an entrepreneur and investor with 25+ years of financial management experience inside of a publicly-traded Fortune 500 company. His ability to recommend sound actionable advice is his superpower. Tolga launched his own CFO services firm, AZ Finance Group, and an investment company called Infinx Capital. With his trusted partners Tolga has branched into insurance, media management, and tax and accounting services. He and Brittany met in 2023 as he was looking into senior services for his mother. After realizing the gap between staying in home and moving into a residential facility, they joined forces to launch the Vintage Silver Center. As a top-performing business executive and solid sounding board with personal experience, Tolga is invaluable to the team.
Brittany grew up in a small town that didn’t have access to a lot of resources. She worked in the only local long term nursing home as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) for 6 years before moving to Arizona to work for the Phoenix VA in a community based outpatient mental health clinic as a CNA in 2013. Brittany was in that role for almost two years, completing her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology before returning to a private sector position. In that position, she clinically assessed individuals to see if they were an appropriate candidate for Skilled nursing or Acute Rehab. She completed her Masters in Social Work from Walden University and became licensed. Brittany is an entrepreneur with a servant's heart. She has never met a stranger and goes above and beyond for those she serves. After realizing the need for senior day programs, she created a team that is now known as the Vintage Silver Center.

Testimonials
"I've been searching for a place like this for months! This is a place that my husband with Alzheimer's feels like he's at a social club. Lauren, (and all the staff) are wonderful, compassionate and caring. It's beyond adult 'day care.' Their activities all have a purpose to stimulate their brains yet they are doing fun things. It gives me a chance to have a few hours to take care of myself (respite time)! They're very flexible and affordable."
